The Ray Group's research is focused on the development of new materials, their interfaces, and devices for energy and environment solutions. The group is actively working on the exploration of materials consisting of earth-abundant elements and their development by inexpensive and eco-friendly processes with minimal carbon footprints.
The group is committed to welcoming new ideas and concepts which will have sustainable solutions to energy and environment.

DST Women Scientist Award 2022 to Ms. Naznin
July 2022: Mrs. Naznin Shaikh, Senior Research Fellow received a grant in the category of Physical and Mathematical Sciences for a project titled "Developing Metal Alloys and their Hybrid Heterostructure as an efficient Energy Conversion Material" by DST-Government of India under the Women Scientists Scheme (WOS-A) 2022.
Solar Excursion Program 2022
June 2022: A two-days exposure program was jointly organized by Solar Research & Development Center and Department of Solar Energy, PDEU for aspirants who wish to pursue their career in the field of solar energy generation, its storage, hydrogen generation, nano materials and devices for energy and sensors.
